Our Story
The story is about an inquisitive little girl named Ari. She wants to know all about the world around her. In particular she wants to know about scientific phenomenon. Her parents are both scientists, so they help answer Ari’s questions. A single question will form the theme of each book. Ari is also asking the reader/viewer to learn along with her. The story functions as a teaching tool for parents.
The parents work for a giant tech company that built a Play Lab for her to play in and learn about the world when she gets out of school. As the story progresses, more of the scientists will have children that will join Ari in the Play Lab.
Ari
Ari is an inquisitive 7 year old girl. She interested in all areas of science.
Her mother is botanist, so she wears her mom’s gardening gloves. Her dad is a robotics expert, so she wears his lab coat and goggles. In each story, Ari will learn more and more about the universe. The stories will center around a specific theme, such as “How Do Airplanes Fly?” or “How Does Sound Travel?“
Mommy
Mommy is a PhD. in Botany and works for a giant corporation that researches and designs machines for the aerospace, commercial and medical industries. She’s an expert on organic living systems and will provide Ari lots of answers relating to the natural world.
Daddy
Daddy is a PhD. in Robotics and works for the same corporation as Mommy. When they decided to have a family, Daddy helped build the Play Lab with Mommy in order for them to keep an eye on her after school. Daddy also build the robots that Ari will play with in the Lab. As the story progresses, Daddy will make new robots.
Eyebot
Eyebot was designed specifically to keep an “eye” on Ari in the Playlab and send data back to Daddy’s tablet.
Rover
Rover was designed to help Ari in the Playlab by reaching for things when she needs them and for pointing out important things in the world. As the story lesson progresses, he points things out to the reader as well.
Jeffy
Jeff is a 9 lb. Chihuahua/Yorkie dog.
